Volunteer at the Gardens

Join Our Volunteer Corps — make new friends, have fun, breathe the fresh air and contribute to the growth of horticulture in the Pikes Peak region. HAS runs on volunteer power and you as a helper can learn much about gardening from local gardeners.

Rewards are back on the table for our plant sale volunteers this year, too. The HAS Board decided that you are not only important volunteers, but a big part of our customer base  It only makes sense that you get to shop early if you are willing to put in the extra time to help us have a successful sale!

Demonstration Garden

Tuesday or Thursday Volunteers” – Starting in April, join the HAS Gardener and volunteers on Tuesdays or Thursdays, 9:00am – noon to help in the Demonstration garden. Work may include planting, weeding, raking and other activities. Please contact hasgardens@gmail.com for more information.

Heritage Garden

Wednesday Volunteers” –   Starting in April, join the HAS Gardener and others on Wednesday mornings from 9:00am to noon, to help in the Heritage Garden. Work may include planting, weeding, raking and other activities. In case of wet or cold weather, volunteering may be cancelled. Please contact hasgardens@gmail.com for more information.

Other Volunteering Opportunities:

Join us for our Great American Rake-Off in the fall – date to be announced. Rake and bag leaves, take some home if you like. Enjoy the physical activity, friendship and refreshments.
