Wednesday, Apr 14, 2010, 7:00 p.m., “The Spring Garden – Designing with Spring Bulbs”

gravestock.jpgPresented by Kim Gravestock

Come join us for Kim Gravestock’s enthusiastic account of the creation of her spring garden. Spring starts early in this south facing terraced garden. Butting up to the Garden of the Gods rock formations allows for warm microclimates that host a surprising variety of spring bulbs and perennials. Japanese Maple, ‘Osio Beni’, resides over the whole show with ruby red spring foliage. Kim will talk about bulb choices, companion plants, planting techniques, protecting the garden from furry four legged robbers and late spring frosts.

Kim Gravestock has operated a garden design and maintenance business since 1993. She designs and plants with sustainability, natural beauty and wildlife in mind.
